Washington Financial supports numerous local nonprofit organizations, community events and redevelopment projects. Here are just a few of the ways we continually demonstrate our commitment to our community:
The Washington Financial Charitable Foundation
Our dedication to help local communities grow and prosper was the vision for the development of The Washington Financial Charitable Foundation. It provides funding for projects that meet the Foundation's standards for giving. Priority is given to those projects supporting health and human service needs and applications for funding are reviewed quarterly by the Foundation's Board of Trustees.
Washington Financial Scholarship Fund
This program helps students and their families meet the skyrocketing cost of a college education. A total of 10, $1,000 scholarships are available each year and are renewable up to a maximum of four years. Selection is based on the student's commitment to community service and a family's financial need. Applicants or their immediate families must be customers of Washington Financial Bank.

Employee Matching Program
We encourage our employees to participate in community organizations by matching donations to their charity of choice. To be eligible for the matching donation, the employee must also contribute at least 10 hours of community service to a participating nonprofit, school or church during the previous six months.
Customer Choice Awards
Each year our customers have the opportunity to vote for the nonprofit organization or community development project they would like us to fund. Those organizations receiving votes will be considered for donations based upon the total votes received.
