We don't grow customers, we grow relationships, and that's more important.Jim Winkelvoss Vice President and Regional Branch Manager, South Main Street
With the exception of the four years he served in the military, Jim has lived in Washington his entire life. After his service, he took a job at Beneficial Finance for six years and worked at First National Bank and Trust for eleven years. While at Washington Financial, Jim has worked as a Branch Manager in three branches before moving to his current position as a Regional Branch Manager.
Jim is actively involved in a number of organizations in Washington County. He acts as the Treasurer for the Greater Canonsburg Economic Development Group and works with Blueprint Communities to secure funding for community projects. He enjoys making chili on game days for the Keystone Club, watching the history channel, and vacationing in Mexico with his wife and son.
While working at Washington Financial, Jim enjoys interacting with customers and growing relationships with them. He strongly feels that the Bank differentiates itself by talking with customers to learn more about their needs and showing them which services best suit those needs. “I like helping people, and I think we do that well here,” he said. “We care about the person and their needs more so than the account. We don’t grow customers, we grow relationships, and that’s more important.”
Washington County is home to 22 of Pennsylvania's 210 covered bridges.
