We're truly relationship driven…Jim Medved Vice President and Business Banking Officer, South Main
Jim grew up playing baseball in Marianna, PA. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Duquesne University and has worked in the financial industry throughout his professional career. Prior to joining Washington Financial’s team, Jim worked at National City and PNC for a total of nine years.
Jim is a board member for Neighborhood Drug Awareness and the Washington County Mental Health Association. Additionally, he is involved planning Alzheimers golf outings. During his free time, Jim can be found golfing, running, or biking.
Although Jim has experience with a variety of aspects in the banking industry, he has always enjoyed commercial lending because he learns how his customers run their businesses. Seeing how they run their businesses first-hand gives him a proactive approach to developing solutions to their financial needs. “We’re truly relationship driven,” Jim said. “We don’t oversell or push our products. We find products that meet our customers’ unique financial needs, and I really enjoy working for a bank that is relationship driven rather than motivated by a loan quota.”
